*click* times 5

Hey blog world
No I have no idea why my text is coming out underlined. You'll just have to learn to deal with this deformity in my text.

I went into my room clicked five times in the direction of some stuff I'd like to share with y'all. Yaay. Whoot. Huzzah!

These are my yellow gloves. *Thank you tiff*
They are sorta fail at being gloves...
but they're yellow so my mind just loves.

Magically the underlining just stopped.
I'm sucha technological fail.
This is why last year I switched from info tech into textiles (which I also failed at...)
BUH I created this stuffed bunny thing...
Yeah, pretty darn proud of myself.
Another thank you at Tiff for the above awesome piece of art. Yes. It's my name. Still waiting to hang this up :O

And now some of my art work! (Okay so all the pieces were precut and were really stickers but ART nonetheless.) It's great. Dontcha think?
And last but obviously the best thing in the whole wide world... HP books. No HP is not a computer company thing (or printer? whichever... my lack of technology knowledge comes out again. fail oh fail) But yes HP fan I is.

(Excuse the odd spacing, lettering and general chaos of this post, but hey I said I'm a technological fail?)

And this is when you know the world has crashed. *splat*

Mom and I spent the afternoon of our New Year's Eve up in the mountainous region known as Squamish with the family. It was the normal time ya know a couple board games, some pool, the normal but then my little cousins decided that they wanted to play "make over". (This basically consists of them putting chap stick on me and pretending that they're painting my nails.) Being just the amazzzzingggg cousin I am (Oh hello humility where ya been?)I played along. This is where my thought for the day begins...
After they had taken turns putting chap stick on me (yes they both had to do it) one of them says casually, now we'll give you a lazer treatment.
I'd like to take this time to quickly tell you that my cousins are both between 5-10. Uh ya.
This randomly said statement kinda caught me off gaurd so I asked them, "Uhh what do you mean? We're playing make over?"
What was their response, "Ya this is how we play at school! First we do the waxing and the lazer treatments and then we put on the nail polish!"

I was dumb struck honestly at what to say so I just suggested they read a book while I went and got them something to eat.

Thought:
How much are we really effected by the media's idea of "beauty" when little children, no babies are talking about waxing and lazer treatments?

Hm I don't really know where to start expanding on this thought. I guess it makes me sad but I don't really know what one could do to counter act this. I mean other than talking about it ( I did end up actually sitting my cousins down and discussing it with them).
It makes me sad that this is what we've come to. A place where little girls are worrying about such things. It makes me sorta sick to my stomach.
And even worse, I have no idea what to do.

Buddy guy

So sometimes my titles make absolutely no sense. 'Tis fine.
I know you're sitting there everyday constantly refreshing this page like the true creeper you are wondering, "WHY?! Why has Parveen given up her deep love of blogging as a form of entertainment!?"
Well little grasshopper, actually you can be a bumble bee, well dear bumble bee I recently acquired something I had never dreamed of attaining - I got a life. *Insert dramatic music here*

Naah actually I'm just a lazy bum... here's some random stuff I've been up to...

First off Arjan turned 14 *yaaaay*
Only two years away from turning all my mothers hair gray with his driving.
Don't ask why there's a snow man and a Christmas tree. I have no answers to offer.

I went to quite an interesting Christmas Party with my mother (for her work). SO interesting in fact that I entertained myself by taking pictures
of random objects/food. Here's one of my creative
genius moments while there...
Hi sarcasm? No one. Alrighty

Then there was the always magical camp at our local Gurdwara...
This years theme of "Ardaas"
We had some amazing speakers including the ever knowledgeable Japnaam Singh

Made some friends with some really
awesome campers!

Oh and Mehtab made it out too!

*Insert the aweeeeeeeeeeeeee*
Harjot Singh is too good. We're being super heros! Don't hate on the fail poses. We're too cool.

I can't even begin to explain
how amazing these kids were...
I know I was supposed to be teaching them but I think I learned a whole lot more.

*cringe* the beads >.<
Group shot!

Oh and then mother and I ventured out into the mountains...
Went to see the adorable Jasmin!

This is my grandfather.
He's awesome.

And well there you have it, my explaination on what the heck I've been doing other than blogger. I see you're not impressed. Well I promise you there was more but due to bloggers incredibly slow uploading ability you shall have to do without the rest of 'em. I apologize.
...gah actually I'm just lazy.
Story of my life
(Let's just pretend that was used in a cool not trying hard kinda way. Great.)

oh. Oh. OH!
Happy New Year and all that jazz too.
